DIRECT SUPPORT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Section l. GENERAL
7-1. SCOPE. Direct support maintenance for the
instructions in this chapter cover replacement of tower
Antenna Tower TS-IA consists of the maintenance
functions authorized by the Maintenance Allocation

7-2. TOOLS AND TEST EQUIPMENT. The tools and
the test equipment needed for direct support
is used for voltage and resistance measurements in the
circuits of the tower and elevator hoists.

High voltage is used in operation of
electric hoists. Death or injury may
result from contact with high voltage
connections. The 230/460-volt power
for hoist motors and controls is
lethal. Disconnect this power before
servicing hoist motors or controls, or
any hoist circuits.
(1) Remove winch cable (6) from winch
(2) Remove sheave (3) and two pulley
(1) Detach motor assembly (11 and 12) by
spacers (2) from winch support (10) by removing bolt
(1), nut (5), and lockwasher (4).
