Step 1.
Interchange any two of input power leads to control. (See paragraph 2-19.) Check that resulting direction of
drum rotation is now the same as that indicated by the hoist control.
Step 2.
If, after interchanging input power leads, drum continues to rotate in opposite direction, refer to higher level of
maintenance.
3. ELEVATOR ASSEMBLY OR CARRIAGE DOES NOT RIDE SMOOTHLY ON TRACKS.
Step 1. Inspect tracks for alignment.
Realign all tracks if necessary.
Step 2. Check for loose cam follower hardware.
Tighten all cam follower hardware.
Step 3. Inspect cam follower blocks for defects.
